ALICE SPILLS THE TEA

Alice Spills The Tea

A Note to the Pearl-Clutching Critics

A Note to the Pearl-Clutching Critics

Oh, my sweet, dear critics,

It’s so adorable when you attempt to stifle my creativity. I can practically hear your gasps from across the room as you furiously clutch your pearls and flip through my blog, waiting for me to disappoint you. But darlings, I’m afraid you’ll be sorely disappointed.

You see, my little corner of the web isn’t for the faint of heart or the overly serious. This is a place for the bold, the adventurous, the wonderfully eccentric souls who embrace the weird, the whimsical, and—dare I say it—the delightfully dark. My storytelling style isn’t for those who find comfort in stiff, predictable narratives or who need everything to be just so—because, darling, where’s the fun in that?

So when you find yourself clutching those pearls in an absolute tizzy over my “eccentric” spin on classic tales, I want you to stop for a moment and ask: Isn’t that exactly what makes these stories come alive again? The world is far too serious as it is, and I’d rather put a bit of sass and sparkle into the darkness than let it stay trapped in the past. Who says the macabre can’t have a little flair, huh?

As for my quirky, unpredictable style? Darling, that’s the whole point. I’m not here to fit into a neat little box with a bow. I’m here to break the mold, to spill the tea (literally and figuratively), and to remind everyone that stories can be fun, funny, freaky, and fabulously fantastical—no matter how old they are. Classic literature has its place, but that place doesn’t have to be trapped in dusty pages. It can evolve, it can dance, and it can absolutely sparkle.

I won’t apologize for shaking things up. I won’t apologize for telling stories the way I see fit. And most certainly, I won’t apologize for making sure my readers have fun—because that’s what storytelling is all about, right?

So, for those of you still clutching your pearls, feel free to keep them tightly in place. But know this: Alice will keep doing her thing—writing, spinning, and bringing a little madness into the world. After all, what's the point of being normal when you can be delightfully deranged?

Yours, delightfully unrepentant,
- Alice

P.S. Don’t worry, I’m sure someone else will keep your serious literary traditions alive. Meanwhile, I’ll be over here, stirring the cauldron of creativity with a wink and a smile.
